Virginia White reveals composition of E-liquid

One of the most common objections to E-cigarettes is “it’s not known exactly what’s in them”. Fortunately, this is not true. Consumer safety regulations protect users from harmful substances and any better manufacturer should send their products to external laboratories for testing to further check their safety. Virginia White entrusts its tests to the TÜV SÜD group which conducts certification according to international standards.

Compared to classic cigarette smoke, which contains 7,000 chemicals, only a handful of them is used in e-cig liquids:

Propylene glycol (PG) – this substance is approved by the American Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and is used for many purposes, such as:

Production of theater smoke and food additives. The liquid is odorless, colorless and tasteless, does not irritate the skin, does not cause cancer, and is also used in asthma inhalers.

Vegetable glycerol (VG) – Like propylene glycol, it’s one of the basic ingredients of E-cigarettes. It is significantly thicker than PG and produces more steam. Because of its density, it can create a sediment on coils, which reduces their lifespan. However, it’s used because, in sensitive users, it does not cause irritation. Our E-liquids use a combination of 80% PGa and 20% VGa to create a soft and rich pair strong enough to satisfy even the most demanding users yet yet soft enough to not cause irritation to those more sensitive.

Aromas – the strengths and intensity of the aroma in the E-liquid may vary. All ingredients are safe for consumption, as they are added to the food or are already naturally in it:

• Apple acid – an acidic flavored compound found in its fruit. It is used as a fruit flavor enhancer in everything from food and drinks to cough syrup.
• Acetyl pyrazine – often used aroma that is added to the E-liquid with chocolate flavors. It is used in foods because of its nutty chocolate flavor.
• Vanilla – a compound that is found in vanilla seeds and used in food products.

Nitrosamines in traces – substance contained in certain vitamins and processed foods is in the tobacco leaves and samall quantities can remain in nicotine during extraction . This compound is carcinogenic, but it should be noted that in e-liquids contain an amount that is 1400 times smaller than that of the tobacco cigarette.

Taking all this into account, it becomes clear that the anger of the public towards E-cigarettes and the sensationalist titles in newspapers are exaggerated. E-liquid Ingredients are well-known and there is nothing in them that puts it’s users in anything more than an extremely low risk. The fact that nicotine patches approved by the FDA are produced from the same amount of potentially harmful ingredients show that any risk is really minimal.
